A game for the week, but it ain’t a hunger one

yayI decided to expand on my goals this week. I’m still only going week by week, so next week may be completely different.

So don’t beat me up when it’s likely going to be different next week!

To stay positive, I was thinking this week I’m going to give myself the opportunity to earn points for doing good things. Kinda like I do with my kids. I guess the points will satisfy my inner child.

So here’s the point system, which is nothing at all like Weight Watchers, or I might’ve stuck with them longer:

1 point earned for any flour-less plant-based (vegan) meals, snacks counting as a group.

1 point earned per salad, smoothie, soup, or whole foods veggie meal that doesn’t have grains or oil.

1 point for staying within my calorie limit for the day.

This amounts to a maximum of 8 points I can earn in a day. My goal is to get as many as I can, but hopefully at least 5 a day.

Sundays don’t count. That’s my free-for-all-and-keep-my-sanity day.

That leaves the question: What do I earn?

I don’t have a clue. Clearly not food. Less than 30, I’m not going to reward at all. Any suggestions for the following ranges are welcome:

30 to 35 points –
36 to 39 points –
40 to 48 points –

Before you say “Better health should be good enough” I want to stop you right there and say that yes, it should, but clearly it isn’t. If it was, I wouldn’t need a little extra incentive now and then.
